Overview

Octoryn Builder helps teams describe an application in plain language and structured intent, then generates the working parts of a production system — frontend, backend, database schema, authentication, RBAC, multi-tenancy, audit trails, workflows, integrations, tests and deployment configuration. What it emits is portable, reviewable source code in mainstream frameworks that your engineers own, read and change, rather than a proprietary low-code runtime you can never leave. It is aimed at organisations that want to move quickly on internal tools and customer-facing applications without accepting the lock-in, opaque logic and governance gaps that usually come with rapid app builders. Builder is in private preview, so scope, supported stacks and guardrails are still being shaped with early design partners.

How it works

  1. Describe intent

    You state the application's purpose, entities, roles and rules in plain language and structured fields, and Builder turns that into a reviewable specification.

  2. Generate the stack

    Builder proposes source code across frontend, backend, database schema, auth, RBAC and multi-tenancy in mainstream frameworks, laid out as a normal repository.

  3. Review and adjust

    Your engineers read the diff, change what they disagree with, and re-generate specific parts rather than accepting an opaque black box.

  4. Wire in governance

    Audit logging, approval steps and sensitive-data boundaries are generated as explicit code you can inspect, not hidden platform behaviour.

  5. Test and deploy

    Builder emits tests and deployment configuration so the application can run in your own environment under your existing pipelines.

  • It is not a locked-in low-code runtime — there is no proprietary engine you must keep paying to run the app.
  • It does not remove the need for engineering review; generated code is a proposal that your team is expected to read and approve.
  • It does not guarantee correctness or security on its own — testing, review and your own controls still apply.

Integration

Because Builder emits standard source code and deployment configuration, generated applications fit into your existing version control, CI/CD and hosting rather than a separate platform. Connectors to identity providers, databases and third-party systems are generated as explicit boundaries, and the specific integrations, protocols and data flows are assessed per engagement. During private preview the supported frameworks and integration surface are limited and evolving.
